this week has been so busy (I AM SO TIRED OF CONSTANT MEETINGS) and i still have a million things to grind through and this is just a procrastination post basically and also my executive dysfunction is doing its best to kick my ass lol. Hold up let him cook <- me to my brain every time i stare at the ingredients in my kitchen that i don't have the energy to start peeling.

Sportsshipping is working and more importantly so is the formula3 gif agenda
hintzkanen is so good for the reasons you already mentioned but i also feel like.... umm SPORTSnarratively speaking from eg. seanshap and pdocast there's so much emphasis on robo and pavs as influences on roope's play, and i actually wonder how much specifically miro has impacted rhintz hockey IQ, skating, technique etc.... i know miro hasnt had as much opportunity to play offensively over the years but 1) that clearly annoyed both miro and roope on miro's behalf 2) they're always practicing tgt so what's up with that. also just like the contrast in slow upward development arc towards being a complete 1c vs miro landing on his feet on day 1 and how highly aware of that roope seems. that one clip of them playing scissor paper rock for that nhl in euro media tour thing from the offseason was so short but cute STARS ADMIN MAKE THE ROSTER DO DUMB COMPETITIVE ACTIVITIES ALREADYYYYY

Date: 2023-05-02 11:08 am (UTC)anyway the top-line pull of 2124 Knowing Each Other even when they don't know they know each other, or rather are so secure in knowing each other in the ways that matter that they don't feel the need to examine its shape beyond that simple fact, because they know its existing is already proof enough of concept, etc. is too real!!! also i keep thinking but like seriously why WERE they sitting so close together for that presser. like who was responsible for putting the mics there... what were they trying to manufacture...
also v good points re: hintzkanen especially since they played for hifk together and then internationally, and ofc finnish intl team is actually pretty stacked and it's not like pro guys in the liiga are /bad/ or that it's like OK we were the only ones cooking but i'm sure there's a certain level ofβroop was the guy just drafted by an nhl team suddenly experiencing a sort of newfound/rarified popularity during miro's draft year, for whom the hype was already well-built considering he'd been leveled with high expectations his whole jr career... so you are basically riffing off of each other's talent and skill level in a lot of subtle & insular ways with a unique end-goal separate from the rest of the roster that is predicated on eventually adapting to a diff style + regulation of play, and as you said miro basically landed head-first into norris talk while roop had to ascend more laboriously throughout every league, so the fact that ROOP actually had the year on him and was the nhl guy first!!! even if he Wasn't Really because even in finland he didn't have any draft hype, but he was still the one attached to dallas first, and then thinking about the summer rolling in and miro serendipitously going to his team... hmmmmm. why did i just convince myself even more.

last thing re: roopshipping is that i am actually way more fascinated by 2491 + 2425 than i originally decided i was... i couldn't find this gif so i had to make it but aslkfhalfhflh.
i just keep thinking about how the dynamic isn't just "ok this is the bitch who stole my job" but it's also kivo and roop >this is the bitch i toiled with on the 3rd-ish line during our magic bubble run that ended in defeat and misery, and then 2491 are interesting because there is this aspect of nurturing/mentorship but i think it's mostly that segs just saw roope as one of his rookies at first and had to recalibrate his understanding of him when he came back from the sidelines and i think now he's accepted roope for who he is on the top line but there isn't that much remaining from their original dynamic whereas imo roope is still v attached to kivo in that earnest rookie-ish way where he still sees him as Past Liney he's had special memoriesTM with... TT or at least that's how i like to envision it for potential fictional dynamics....... the fact that i don't think roope is necessarily Girl in the way that's obvious but his homosocial attachments still fascinate me.
