how am i meant to enjoy hockey starting up again when robo still isn't signed.......... i am so bored without f3 in my life T__T also kind of looking forward to fully dipping my toes into fe and/or indy next season but we'll see LOL

the conundrum of repping a driver in a feeder series often feels more delicate than in f1 because it's like the bust potential is so much higher... i mean the gap between rating and supporting someone is really universal in all series and sports but i guess it's more that the uncertainty in someone's career is a lot more pronounced and they still have so much left to prove in terms of development. of course in f1 there are people i am more generous about despite their skill (or lack thereof) OR who i don't think are particularly great but consider underrated relative to their public perception, but all of that is fairly nuanced and not easily summarized in a single list or ranking (e.g. quite like guanyu but think his rookie season is underwhelming despite the fan copium but also still think he "deserves" the alfa seat and a 2nd season / think anyone who rates george over lewis this season is insane / can admit to myself that in most senses of the word i do support lando and think he'd make the best max teammate out of anyone on the grid and probably rate him a bit too high even if i find the word "generational" useless and wouldn't apply it to anyone outside of solely lewis and max atm including sharl etc. / also mick is mid and people who ever thought he'd be in ferrari are stupid but guenther is even more stupid to me. but also i'm biased and just like him more as a person and i can admit this to myself / not everyone can understand canadian pay driver lance stroll... i don't even like him objectively but that's what i mean when he's just relatively overhated so i feel compelled toward neutrality but on the other hand i have zero sympathy for goatifi and don't care whether he's a nice dude or not and i also irrationally hate devries for no reason and have no idea why!! but good riddance goatifi u will never be mick schumacher's annoying boyfriend's emotional support canadian nepobaby paytwink 🥲)

anyway tiers at this point are like

f1 > pia ham alb tsu msc nor
f2 > n/a
f3 > bea <333.... but then my attachment to the f3 grid is way superfluous and hard to explain because while i really like cra and jco i don't think jak will ever be particularly Great and is still really rough around the edges. though i am pretty excited to see him at hitech with isack... sometimes it's okay to enjoy a few red bull junior flops here and there <3 also obviously jmc is like. well i don't expect him to do much in f2 and kind of hope he pivots to another series altogether (girl who has no idea how to follow elms...) but also the reasons i appreciate him are frankly very far removed from racing.

in short:

> TT___TT tbh i am reallyyyy looking forward to seeing ollie in f2... even though i don't disagree that he could "benefit" from an extra season this is what i mean when we talk about development and how there are so many variables only discernible in hindsight.... with the way the feeder system is structured right now and the increasing focus on getting drivers up the ranks as young as possible (+ perpetual monetary deterrents and (tangentially) ongoing discourse surrounding the sl system and inaccessibility of divergent routes of ascension) it feels like it's so easy to hit a bottleneck so early, like theo at 19, but that also doesn't mean that you should be unnecessarily "delaying" your progression or wasting another mil on a seat you've already performed well in because obviously that defeats the purpose of challenging yourself, so it's like maybe there's an argument to be made in accruing more single-seater racing experience before f3 (hence the mercedes approach of parking kimi in freca for a year, because i guess prema would rather avoid taking on 3 rookies but there's no way he couldn't have gotten a seat or at least tested a day or two if merc wanted him there) like how oscar spent more time in eurocup and was older by the time he did his f3/f2 runs, but atp with the season he's had there's arguably no reason ollie shouldn't and wouldn't deserve the prema spot (or another competitive f2 seat) over the teammates he has summarily outperformed, rookie or not... so it's like what do you do with that. i think ollie is young but impressively mature and adaptable, and the way he honed in on the championship fight and responded to his mistakes and concluding season disappointments mark positives for his future, but of course at the end of the day you can never fully predict these things or assume team structure and reliability and the impact of mechachroming and true driver adaptability going up the ranks and so many things are a matter of luck or a pure crapshoot et cetera et cetera. so either way i will simply be cautiously optimistic while leveling low expectations!!!

> dino/paul/zak is a pretty cool lineup for f3 so i am actually quite looking forward to that if it pans out :') again i think it's such a shame that kimi isn't going to f3 because it feels like freca is a developmental delay and i am excited for tsolov rookie season at art (even if i don't expect them to replicate vma recent success next season) so i wish we could have witnessed that rookie showdown at the same time T__T alas mercedes is mercedes and i guess we'll see down the line how the masterplan shakes out... it is funny how with lewis i guess they'll always be more conservative, which was evident with like george's ascension to the seat and is elucidated by toto's "takes" on the oscar situation which sound misguided in the context of alpine's incompetence but make more sense when considered in the larger image of fastidious merc pipelining, though obviously wrt the george plan williams was never supposed to be that doggedly bad for all 3 years but. anyway. if kimi really is all that it'll be interesting to see what the grid spaces look like come 2k26 but let's not get too ahead of ourselves either...

> (assuming testing lineups mostly stay the same for the actual grid) is it basic if i say zak is my fav to win the championship next season LOL. but really i am very much looking forward to edgar doing a full season because i have a soft spot for the kid and am rooting for him and his health T__T also minimontoya is 👌🆗 and we shall see what GOAThe does in his lil trident rocketship... but it is just so deeply sad to me that the best hadrien can do is carlin after another year of freca x__x alpine are so useless it makes me laugh in the saddest way possible to think they ever purported to have funded a substantial amount of oscar's junior career and that some people (read: french alpine fans and randomly bitter australians) still believe any of it and subscribe to every glaring flavor of character assassination attempt... it sucks that alpine really do have some promising talent down their junior lineup and yet they've fucked themselves so badly that they're either going to rush doohan before he's ready (well what do i know. but i think he could use another year) or even more hilariously will just lock down pierre and then fail to promote any of their juniors again for who knows how long etc. etc. the end 🥲 if vma manages to stay with art for f2 that will also be... interesting. french people man. je_suis_pas_heureux_je_veux_mourir.jpeg

> back to ollie on one hand praying that the writing is finally on the wall for arthur prema exit because the relationship seems so unstable at this point and signs point to dennis staying for another season and giving the team a second shot, but also like... i guess atp i'm not like wow ollie truly NEEDS to be in prema for the sake of his career either so it's kind of fine either way. but i would definitely like to see bea/hau duo 🥰

okay i think that's all i had to say T__T i think i talk too much
