ok apologies for previous insanity... T__T this is not going to be a real post either but i should try to preview this series with a bit more clarity
vgk are not a team i'm confident we can go down 1-0 and rebound easily against, especially considering the circumstances of the other ot losses. i'm not sure whether the fact that miro was especially bad tonight is something to worry about (long minutes and fatigue finally accumulating?) or something to... believe in? because it's nice to see wyatt was getting dangerous looks and that top line all collectively showed up, because it's like ok if we can just get miro back to standard and have a bit of depth scoring we'll be more generally sound, but i also umm fell asleep in the 3rd period because i've been feeling so sick so i will have to review the matchup some more later lol <3
quest for the stanley cup ep2 KILLED ME i was so pissed that ep1 had literally 0 stars content because it tried to split coverage of all the other 6 teams pretty evenly and then the sea-dal portion was entirely about seattle like girl wtf. i have been very much enjoying what ContentTM we have been offered although the espn broadcast is literally like the most unbearable thing ever
i just need to get through the week.......
my whole body is aching right now so i'm just going to sleep. but anyway 1) why did i watch all 4OT periods for the panthers game. i stand by saying that mtkachuk is basically just robo if you made him a god mode gamer, by which i mean... they play a similar role as wingers and provided similar levels of skill and regular-season contribution to their respective teams and obviously share a baseline identifier of being team usa guys. but then tkachuk is just the ultra-competitive natemac-esque version of robo who refuses to get neutralized in the playoffs, and he has classic marner hockey dad angst, is a pest, etc., so as a robo fan i'm like well of course i can understand why he's fun as a hockey player and that those additional marketable narrative details make him such a fan favorite for hockey rpf. i just don't really care about him or spare any mental energy to think about the cats but......
i really have no opinion on which of the remaining teams i'd "want" to win if dallas get knocked out. although i genuinely believe it's the least likely combination of the 4 teams, it boggles my mind that we could have a DUKEDOMI FINAL lmfao if you'd told me this 7 years ago........ the fact that no one likes max domi anymore........ but i do still have a soft spot in my heart for duke even if he was a bit of a crypto fiend last time i checked but idk.
2) the stars are fr so annoying for not being able to win an OT game LOL.
3) petey having to document the fact that he and his bf are building furniture together is fr making me lose my mind....... whose new place is this because i'm like !?!?!? i wish i could just write quinnfic so i could stop being insane about them but i'm also sick of myself so adlkhadlfh.
4) i just feel like........ 4/55 are rotatable. 24/53 makes sense to me now. 21/24 have given me so much good and digestible material this postseason. all the pavs and johnny stuff has actually been ENDEARING. also the fact that mush and tseg work out together during the summer is like lmfao... and mush being like no max and i don't really know each other like dat but we used to hang around when we were kids because our dads were on the leafs at the same time like ok i see.
i have thoughts about robo scoring but it's just like... me at saad writing his little narratives about players "not wanting it enough": I Could Have Told You That. no it's just funny because you can tell he's trying to engage the audience of like local dfw guys who are saying this shit and he's probably scrolling instagram comments from stars fans who are calling robo out for being a ghost and not being engaged enough or maybe he listens to espn and national media accusing him of being a perimeter player whatever so it makes sense that he has to craft this kind of defensive take around his scoring woes but in contrast to the tumblr girls who simply do not say anything that like it just looks like he's inventing Hateurs and Narratives to respond to like... glad he's having fun though lmfao
